Paul Hastings Names Global Vice Chair of Private Equity Practice

Scott Joachim has joined Paul Hastings as the global vice chair of the private equity practice, the firm said Monday.

Joachim represents private equity firms, venture capital investors, and corporates in the technology sector, according to Paul Hastings. He has led prominent M&A deals, including Twitch Interactive in its sale to Amazon, General Motors in its acquisition of Cruise, and Responsys in its sale to Oracle.

Joachim previously practiced at Goodwin and founded the firm’s PE and fintech practices at Fenwick & West, Paul Hastings said. David Ambler, who was formerly with Cooley LLP in Palo Alto, Calif., also joins as a capital markets partner, according to the firm.
