Paul Hastings Hires Mike Pestana as Emerging Companies Partner

Mike Pestana joined Paul Hastings as a partner in its emerging companies and venture capital practice in San Francisco, the firm announced Monday.

Pestana focuses on company-side representation at all stages of development, from newly formed startups to pre-IPO companies. He leads strategic deals, including private financings, secondary transactions, tender offers, recapitalizations and acquisitions, and provides strategic business and legal advice to entrepreneurs and startups while serving as outside general counsel, the firm said.

He joins from Wilson Sonsini.
