A federal district judge reversed her decision allowing a bankruptcy court to decide whether a defunct petroleum barge company’s former CEO can sue Kirkland & Ellis LLP and Jackson Walker LLP over allegations they helped conceal a former judge’s relationship with a local attorney.
The ruling Wednesday by Judge Alia Moses comes after the former CEO challenged a push for a special administrator to pursue potential claims against ex-bankruptcy Judge David R. Jones, Kirkland, Jackson Walker, and former Jackson Walker partner Elizabeth Freeman.
