Nicole Lopez joined Orrick as a partner in its public policy and online safety teams in San Francisco, the firm announced Thursday.
Lopez will advise clients on strengthening their commitment to protecting children while advocating for responsible policy that promotes platform innovation. She will focus on legal and regulatory compliance, advocating for innovative laws and regulations, representing clients in inquiries and investigations, and developing strategy to defend high-stakes claims and appeals, the firm said.
She joins from Meta Platforms Inc., where she served as global director of youth safety policy and leader of global youth litigation strategy.
