O’Melveny Recruits Former SDNY General Crimes Unit Co-Chief

Rebecca Mermelstein has joined O’Melveny as a partner in its white collar defense and corporate investigations practice in New York, the law firm said Tuesday.

Mermelstein previously served as an assistant US attorney in the Southern District of New York, where she also held the role of co-chief of the general crimes unit, according to O’Melveny.

She also worked with the securities and commodities fraud task force as well as the violent and organized crime unit as a federal prosecutor, O’Melveny said.
