O’Melveny Adds Former SEC Regional Director Layne as LA Counsel

Michele Wein Layne has joined O’Melveny as of counsel with the white collar defense and corporate investigations practice group in Los Angeles, the firm said Monday.

Layne served as the director of the Los Angeles regional office of the Securities and Exchange Commission.

She will focus on securities-related enforcement matters, internal and regulatory investigations, and governance and compliance issues, representing and advising corporate clients and their boards, committees, officers, and directors, according to O’Melveny.
