The Butler County Area Courts in Ohio settled claims brought by a fired clerk that its unpaid pregnancy-related leave policy for employees violated federal sex bias law.
The case brought by Angela Gabbard was permanently dismissed, Judge Matthew W. McFarland, of the US District Court for the Southern District of Ohio, said Monday, adding that the case had settled. Any of the parties may move to reopen the case if settlement hasn’t been finalized within 45 days, McFarland also said.
