Ogletree Recruits Ex-SEC Whistleblower Chief, Contracts Lawyer

Jane Norberg and Joseph Ashman joined Ogletree Deakins as shareholders, the firm announced Tuesday. Norberg joined as a Washington, DC shareholder and co-chair of the firm’s whistleblower and compliance practice group, while Ashman joined as a Richmond shareholder and co-chair of the firm’s government contracting and reporting practice group.

Norberg’s practice focuses on counseling organizations regarding whistleblower compliance obligations, including for programs led by the SEC, Commodity Futures Trading Commission and the Department of Justice. She defends employers in agency investigations and enforcement actions, trains leadership on reporting and anti-retaliation, and leads internal investigations, the firm said.
