NY Trans Patients Sue to Stop DOJ From Seizing Private Info

A group of transgender minors, their parents, and others who receive gender-affirming care at New York University healthcare institutions are suing the Justice Department to stop its attempts to access their private health information.

In a complaint filed Tuesday in the US District Court for the Southern District of New York, the plaintiffs accused DOJ and Acting Attorney General Todd Blanche of seeking the information as part of a “systematic campaign to exclude trans gender people from public life and to ‘end’ the gender-affirming medical care that enables many transgender people to live authentically as themselves,” rather than for any ...
