- Tri-state Harris Beach and New England’s Murtha Cullina agree to merge
- The combination will go into effect as of January 1, 2025
Attorneys at Harris Beach PLLC and Murtha Cullina voted today in favor of an operating agreement that would merge the two regional northeast law firms as of January 1, 2025.
The new firm will be called Harris Beach Murtha and have more than 250 attorneys across 16 northeast offices including Massachusetts, District of Columbia and the tri-state area of New York, New Jersey and Connecticut.
The firms expect to provide a deeper bench of service to their clients.
“Our respective firms are eager to collaborate on a wide variety of matters across industries, and this demonstrated enthusiasm is just a glimpse of what is to come for Harris Beach Murtha: the highest quality legal services, supported by a bigger talent pool, expanded breadth of services, and broader geographic scope to meet our clients’ ever-evolving needs,” Murtha Cullina managing partner Andy Corea said in a statement.
The firms will continue to operate as separate entities until the merger takes effect in January 2025.
Murtha Cullina’s past client list includes Wesleyan University and Rite Aid Corp.
