New York Attorney General Letitia James’ office tapped Munger Tolles & Olson to deal with two federal subpoenas the office is facing.
The office hired Munger Tolles to represent it in federal investigations into the office’s prosecutions of the Trump Organization and of the National Rifle Association. The hire was approved Aug. 29, according to a New York state comptroller spokesperson.
Munger’s team for James’ office includes firm chair Brad Brian, co-managing partner Hailyn Chen and partner E. Martin Estrada, a former California federal prosecutor.
The firm did not immediately respond to a request for comment.
