Nucor Corporation announced that Gregory Murphy, executive vice president of business services and general counsel, plans to retire effective June 7, the company said Wednesday.
Murphy will transition out of his current responsibilities on March 9, when Benjamin Pickett will be promoted to executive vice president of business services and Douglas Wilner will be promoted to president of corporate legal affairs and general counsel.
Murphy joined Nucor in 2015 as vice president and general counsel and assumed additional responsibilities for environmental and public affairs in 2020 before being promoted to his current role in 2021.
