The National Rifle Association of America has added New York University law professor Samuel Estreicher to its legal team as it continues to fight a suit over lavish misspending.
The gun rights advocacy group is preparing for the second phase of a lawsuit by New York Attorney General Letitia James, after a jury found earlier this year that the NRA violated state laws for tax-exempt organizations. Estreicher, who has been at the school for more than four decades and is best known in labor and employment law circles, officially joined the case May 30.
