Norton Rose Hit With $100 Million Suit in Botched Patent Bid (1)

A defunct technology company is suing Norton Rose Fulbright and a former associate at the firm, alleging that they bungled a patent application and hid the error for nearly two years while continuing to bill for their services.

Veil Global Technologies, Inc., formerly known as Advocado, Inc., filed the complaint Tuesday in Cook County Circuit Court in Illinois. The company, which is seeking $100 million, named Norton Rose and associate Alexander Katsulis in the suit asserting malpractice and other claims.
