Ninth Circuit Demands Explanation from Lawyer Over Filings (1)

A federal appeals court ordered an Arizona immigration lawyer to explain why it shouldn’t sanction him with a fine or disbarment for alleged ethics violations in almost 40 cases he filed with the court.

Rafael Tirado has just under a month to resign from the Ninth Circuit bar or “show cause in writing” why he shouldn’t be disciplined for repeatedly violating court rules and orders and rules of professional conduct, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit said Nov. 4.
