Nexstar Names Elizabeth Ryder Executive VP, General Counsel

Nexstar Media Group, Inc. announced on Monday the appointment of Elizabeth Ryder as executive vice president, general counsel, and secretary to the company’s board of directors.

Ryder previously held the same position from 2017 to 2022. She oversaw Nexstar’s legal and regulatory efforts during its acquisitions of Media General in 2017 and Tribune Media in 2019. Ryder, who has been Nexstar’s senior outside legal counsel for the last four years, joined the company in 2009.

The Irving, Texas-based company is the nation’s largest local television and media company.
