NASA to Close DEI Branch as Part of Phased Workforce Reduction

NASA has started a phased workforce reduction and will close its Diversity, Equity, Inclusion and Accessibility branch, according to an emailed statement from an agency spokesperson.

• NASA to close the Office of Technology, Policy and Strategy; the Office of the Chief Scientist; and the Diversity, Equity, Inclusion and Accessibility Branch of the Office of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion
• Workforce reduction in compliance with executive order, impacts 23 employees, according to NASA spokesperson Cheryl Warner
• Individuals received notification Monday and may be eligible for Voluntary Early Retirement Authority
