Morrison Foerster Taps DOJ’s Newman as National Security Partner

David Newman rejoined Morrison Foerster as a partner and co-chair of its national security and crisis management groups in Washington, the firm announced Monday.

Newman advises on national security, crisis management, and high-stakes litigation. He counsels on CFIUS and sanctions matters, cybersecurity incidents, and regulatory investigations, the firm said.

He joins from the Justice Department, where he served as principal deputy assistant attorney general for the national security division.
