Chris Chamberlain joined Morrison Foerster as a partner in its national security group in Washington, DC, the firm announced Thursday.
Chamberlain’s practice focuses on export controls, particularly semiconductor manufacturing equipment regulations. He advises clients on high-technology and cybersecurity regulation and policy, with experience including areas such as encryption, telecommunications, microelectronics, computers, cloud services, open-source software, and emerging technologies including artificial intelligence and machine learning, the firm said.
He joins from the US Department of Commerce Bureau of Industry and Security. Chamberlain is the second attorney to join from the Department of Commerce this year, following the addition of Anna Faber. ...
