Carlos Felipe Uriarte joined Morrison Foerster as a partner and co-chair of its congressional investigations group in Washington, the firm announced Tuesday.
Uriarte joins from the Justice Department, where he was assistant attorney general for the Office of Legislative Affairs. At the DOJ, he served as a senior adviser to the attorney general—managing the department’s relationships with congressional leaders of both parties, setting legislative strategy for the department, regularly advising department leadership on legal and policy objectives, and overseeing the department’s responses to oversight and investigative requests from Congress.
