Molson Coors Sued Over Vizzy Hard Seltzer Health Benefit Claims

Molson Coors Beverage Co. misled consumers about the health benefits of the antioxidants in its Vizzy Hard Seltzer, according to a would-be federal class lawsuit filed in California.

The company fortified its Vizzy products “with an insignificant amount of Vitamin C, and then blanketed the labels and advertising with statements” that touted the vitamin as being an antioxidant derived from the “superfruit” acerola, Joseph Wagner says. The complaint was filed Thursday at the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of California.
