Molson Coors, Maker of ‘Brizzy’ Settle ‘Vizzy’ Trademark Suit

An alcoholic beverages company and Molson Coors Beverage Co. reached a settlement in a lawsuit alleging Molson’s new “Vizzy” hard seltzer infringed a registered “Brizzy” trademark.

Future Proof Brands LLC and Molson Coors “have agreed to amicably resolve” the lawsuit Future Proof filed in February 2020 in the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Texas, a Tuesday filing said.

The court rejected Molson Coors’ bid for a quick escape in December, two weeks after an appeals court affirmed that Future Proof can’t block Molson Coors from selling Vizzy during the litigation.
