Moderna’s Top Lawyer Compensation Jumps in Post-Pandemic Era

Moderna Inc., a biotechnology and pharmaceutical company reorienting its business for a post-pandemic age, awarded almost $17.4 million in total compensation last year to chief legal officer Shannon Thyme Klinger.

Klinger’s pay package represents a more than four-fold increase from the roughly $4.3 million she earned in 2023 and $3.7 million in 2022, according to a proxy filing late Tuesday by Moderna. Most of the additional pay awarded to Klinger stems from about $15.8 million in stock and option awards.
