One in five board seats at the 3,000-largest U.S. companies is now held by a person of color, but representation still lags as a proportion of the racial and ethnic makeup of the U.S. population, according to a study by ISS Corporate Solutions Inc.
The study showed an increase of racial or ethnic minority board members across the companies over a four-year period from Jan. 1, 2019 to Jan. 1, 2023.
