Minnesota high schools can allow transgender students to join sports teams consistent with their gender identity or expression, a federal court ruled.
Female Athletes United, which says it “advocates for fairness, safety, and equal opportunity for women and girls in sports,” lost its bid to block Minnesota officials from applying the policy to school sports designated for women or girls that involve contact or competitive athletic skills, according to the US District Court for the District of Minnesota.
