Microsoft Cybersecurity Legal Official Jones Exits for Dechert

J.J. Jones joined Dechert LLP as a partner in its cyber, privacy, and AI practice in San Francisco, the firm said Tuesday.

Jones joins the firm from Microsoft, where she was assistant general counsel for cybersecurity. She provided legal guidance on high-risk cybersecurity and privacy incidents at Microsoft, supporting enterprise-wide initiatives while managing regulatory, privacy, and customer trust considerations, according to the firm.

At Dechert, Jones will focus on cybersecurity, incident response, and AI regulatory risk management counseling and defensive litigation matters, the firm said.
