Meta’s Marketplace Wins EU Court Reprieve From Big Tech Law (2)

Meta Platforms Inc. won a bid to exempt the Marketplace classified ads service from tough European Union rules for Big Tech after judges said regulators made legal errors when deciding what to target.

The EU’s General Court in Luxembourg said on Wednesday that the European Commission’s treatment of Marketplace on Meta’s Facebook was wrong, but also ruled that the Messenger service was rightly designated by watchdogs under the bloc’s Digital Markets Act.
