MetaBirkin NFTs Blocked From Museum Display Over Trademark Order

An NFT creator can’t give a Swedish museum permission to display his “MetaBirkins” digital tokens, after a jury found him guilty of trademark infringement against Hermès International SA, a New York federal court ruled.

Mason Rothschild, also known as Sonny Estival, asked the court to clarify whether, under its injunction, he would be able to provide permission to display MetaBirkins artworks in an upcoming exhibition on Andy Warhol and Business Art. The US District Court for the Southern District of New York denied his motion Wednesday.
