Meta Financial Unit Nabs Past Bank of America, Mastercard Lawyer

A former Bank of America Corp. and Mastercard Inc. lawyer has become legal chief for a Meta Financial Group Inc. unit that has been handing out stimulus payments for the U.S. Treasury.

Nadia Dombrowski, as chief legal officer and executive vice president for MetaBank, replaces Anthony Sharett, who was promoted to president of the Sioux Falls, S.D.-based company last fall.

Dombrowski’s “expertise will help further advance our mission to provide financial inclusion to all,” Brett Pharr, MetaBank’s chief executive officer, said in a Wednesday statement.
