McDonald’s Must Give Workers Board Documents on Sex Harassment

Two McDonald’s restaurant workers in Florida leading a proposed class sexual harassment lawsuit can review documents reflecting the McDonald’s Corp. board’s assessment of alleged harassment at stores nationwide.

The documents relate to the board’s “discussion, investigation, and proposed remediation” of the allegedly widespread harassment, and the stores the documents relate to “presumably include the stores in this case,” the US District Court for the Northern District of Illinois said Tuesday. They could help Jamelia Fairley and Ashley Reddick establish in their April 2020 suit that McDonald’s Corp. was their “joint employer” with subsidiary McDonald’s USA LLC and another company, the ...
