Jonathan Hawk has joined McDermott Will & Emery as a partner in the litigation practice group based in Los Angeles, the firm said Friday.
Hawk represents online platforms in complex, multinational legal disputes including privacy, consumer protection, competition and defamation issues, according to McDermott. He joins the firm from White & Case, where he was a partner.
He counsels clients on class action, corporate governance, fiduciary duty and contract disputes involving intermediary liability, privacy and defamation, and intellectual property and fundamental rights, said the firm.
