McCarter Recruits FBI’s Erin Prest as Cybersecurity Partner

Erin Prest joined McCarter & English as a partner in its cybersecurity team in Washington, the firm announced Tuesday.

Prest advises clients on cybersecurity, data privacy, and compliance issues. She implements systems to prevent breaches, mitigates damages if a breach occurs, and develops response plans to manage fallout and improve systems to prevent future vulnerabilities, the firm said.

She joins from the Federal Bureau of Investigation, where she was deputy general counsel for the investigative and administrative law branch.
