Mayer Brown Recruits Ex-DOJ Appellate Lawyer Overvold in DC

Leif Overvold joined Mayer Brown as a partner in its Supreme Court & Appellate practice in Washington DC, the firm announced Tuesday.

Overvold served as lead counsel in over two dozen cases and presented seventeen oral arguments before federal courts of appeals and a state supreme court. He also provided advice to the White House, the Attorney General, and Executive Branch agencies as an attorney-adviser in the Office of Legal Counsel, and has deep experience in administrative law, constitutional law, federal statutory interpretation, preemption, and national security, the firm said.
