Tom Perez joined Mayer Brown as a partner in its public policy, regulatory, and government affairs practice and litigation and dispute resolution practice in Washington, the firm announced Friday.
Perez, who served as secretary of the Labor Department from 2013 to 2017, focuses on complex litigation, internal investigations, labor-management relations, higher education, state and local government matters, as well as infrastructure and public policy issues, the firm said.
He joins from the White House, where he was senior adviser to the president and director of the Office of Intergovernmental Affairs.
