Mastercard Inc.’s Robert Beard is leaving the payments giant just over a year after being recruited to serve as its chief legal officer and head of global policy.
Coherent Corp., a manufacturer of optical materials and semiconductors, announced Monday its hire of Beard as a successor to its retiring legal chief and corporate secretary Ronald Basso. A Mastercard spokesman confirmed that Tiffany Hall, most recently Americas general counsel at the Purchase, New York-based company, now leads its global legal team as general counsel.
