Manatt Signs Financial Services Partner Mike Katz in New York

Mike Katz has joined Manatt, Phelps & Phillips as a financial services partner in its New York office, the firm said Thursday.

Katz will help lead Manatt’s expansion of the firm’s blockchain capabilities, and will strengthen its work with startups, emerging companies and venture investment funds that operate in cryptocurrency, blockchain, fintech, artificial intelligence and other emerging technologies, according to the firm.

He acts as a strategic adviser to emerging growth companies and investors on transactions that include formation through funding and exits, and has served as a counsel to tech companies and venture funds, the firm said.
