Jared Wilner has joined Locke Lord’s New York office as a partner in the firm’s insurance regulatory and transactional practice group.
Wilner, a former New York State Department of Financial Services lawyer, will focus on advising businesses across the insurance industry on regulatory and transactional matters, the firm said in a Friday announcement. He joins from London-founded law firm Clyde & Co.
Wilner helped the department shape the policy response to various issues resulting from the 2008 financial crisis, according to the Locke Lord announcement. He later served as director and corporate counsel to Prudential Insurance’s life and annuities business units.
“I am eager to continue providing enhanced value and comprehensive solutions to clients as part of Locke Lord’s highly accomplished and collaborative team of regulatory and transactional insurance lawyers,” Wilner said.
