David L. Lawton has joined Locke Lord as a partner in the bankruptcy, restructuring, and insolvency practice group in the New York and Hartford, Conn., offices, the firm said Thursday.
Lawton represents private and public bondholders, banks, and hedge funds in complex workouts, insolvency proceedings, and related litigation, according to Locke Lord.
He has particular expertise in cross-border restructurings, with experience in Australia and domestic Chapter 11 and Chapter 15 bankruptcy proceedings, said the firm.
He joins from Morgan Lewis.
