Lewis Brisbois Delays Attorney Raises on ‘Logistical Challenges’

Lewis Brisbois attorneys must wait two more weeks for their raises after the firm delayed a portion of year-end bonuses.

Firm changes to attorney compensation this year “presented some logistical challenges” that affected payment timing for several offices, Lewis Brisbois chief operating officer Richard Davis said Sunday in an email to the firm’s lawyers viewed by Bloomberg Law.

Associates, of counsel and nonequity partners will receive raises and discretionary bonuses in the April 15 pay cycle rather than the March 31 period as planned, Davis said in the email.

The delay will not impact the “net amounts received,” he said. ...
