Legal Malpractice Claim in Hamas Terror Attack Case Passes Test

A legal malpractice case brought by the estate of a Hamas terror victim has been remanded back to federal district court.

A federal appeals court reversed the dismissal of a case brought by the estate and family members of Yael Botvin, killed in 1997 by Hamas suicide bombers.

After suing the Iranian government for helping Hamas orchestrate the attack, the Botvin estate won default judgments and recovered about $2.8 million from a US fund for victims of state-sponsored terrorism.
