LED Lighting Company Energy Focus Hires First Legal Chief

Energy Focus, Inc. has hired former engineer and in-house lawyer Jim Warren as the sustainable LED lighting company’s first general counsel, senior vice president, and corporate secretary.

Warren officially assumed his new role on Monday and will oversee areas including corporate governance, securities, intellectual property, and commercial transactions, according to a company statement.

Warren told Bloomberg Law that his new position was created to expand the Ohio-based company’s executive team as it explores and advances human-centric lighting, or how light affects people.
