Simpson Thacher is advising tech-focused investment firm Silver Lake on its agreement to acquire a majority stake in Facile.it, Italy’s top price comparison website.
Latham & Watkins counseled the sellers, which include Sweden-based private equity firm EQT AB and Pan-European firm Oakley Capital. Silver Lake also got advice from Italian law firm BonelliErede, according to a statement.
Founded in 2008, Milan-based Facile.it lets consumers compare prices for car insurance, utilities, financial and other products. It claims over 4 million unique monthly users and says it had 140 million euros ($147.5 million) in revenues last year.
