Latham & Watkins Adds Emerging Companies Practice Partner Patel

Parag Patel has joined Latham & Watkins as a member of the corporate department and as a partner in the emerging companies practice, the financial institutions, and fintech industry groups in Washington, the law firm announced Monday.

Patel, who joins from Orrick Herrington & Sutcliffe, advises banks, non-bank lenders, payments, and technology companies and their vendors on the regulatory and transactional issues regarding financial services and associated technologies, according to the firm.

He has also advised corporate and private equity clients in mergers and acquisitions contexts and in other fintech investments, Latham said.
