Latham & Watkins kicked off the New Year with the hire of Alexander Johnson from Hogan Lovells in what appears to be the first of a flurry of laterals aimed to grow its private equity and M&A practices.
Johnson’s hire in Latham’s New York office is part of the firm’s ongoing effort to expand its M&A capabilities, according to Marc Jaffe, global chair of Latham’s corporate department, which houses the private equity and M&A practices.
