Artificial intelligence companies are fueling law firm M&A work, accounting for more than a fourth of deals, with Latham & Watkins benefiting the most.
Of nearly 90 transactions valued at $5 billion or more this year through last month, 23 involved AI companies themselves, responded to AI-driven power demands, or provided a service to support AI security, services or infrastructure, according to a Bloomberg Law analysis.
Latham advised on $110.5 billion worth of those deals, more than any other law firm, followed by Wachtell, Lipton, Rosen & Katz at $63.7 billion and Cleary Gottlieb Steen & Hamilton at $58.1 billion, ...
