Last of EBay Workers Charged in Cyberstalking Plot Pleads Guilty

All seven former eBay Inc. employees charged in a bizarre, cross-country cyberstalking scheme have now admitted they conspired in 2019 to intimidate newsletter publishers whose coverage annoyed senior executives.

Six had already pleaded guilty. The last holdout was David Harville, eBay’s former director of global resiliency. On Thursday, Harville pleaded guilty to five charges via video conference in Boston. He was facing trial in a few weeks, and three former eBay employees were set to testify against him.

US District Court Judge Patti Saris asked if Harville understood he was going to prison under the terms of a plea agreement. ...
