Kroger Adds Ex-Dinsmore Leader Amid Albertsons Deal Fallout

Dinsmore & Shohl’s former managing partner George Vincent will join Kroger Co. next month as its new top lawyer, succeeding retiring general counsel Christine Wheatley.

Vincent’s move, announced late Monday, follows the December federal court ruling in favor of a US Federal Trade Commission antitrust lawsuit to block Kroger’s $24.6 billion acquisition of rival Albertsons Cos. Inc. In the aftermath, Albertsons sued Kroger for breach of contract.
