KKR & Co. Inc. gave $18.6 million in total compensation to its new general counsel, Kathryn “Katie” King Sudol, in 2022, according to a securities filing.
Sudol, a former co-head of the mergers and acquisitions practice at Simpson Thacher & Bartlett, joined KKR in September. She succeeded KKR’s first-ever general counsel, David Sorkin, who was promoted to chief legal officer.
Sorkin, 63, is a fellow former Simpson Thacher partner set to step aside and make way for Sudol to become KKR’s chief legal officer as of April 1, according to a 10-K filing by the company. The Feb. 27 ...
