Kirkland & Ellis and Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom steered the approximately $8.4 billion planned combination of packaging makers Amcor Plc and Berry Global Group Inc.
Shareholders of Evansville, Indiana-based Berry for each of their shares will receive 7.25 shares of Zurich-based Amcor in the anticipated all-stock transaction, the companies’ statement said.
Kirkland guided Amcor with a team that included corporate partners Jonathan Davis, Carlo Zenkner, Andrew Norwich and Eric Schiele.
