Kirkland Moves to Hire Wachtell Liability Management Partner

Kirkland & Ellis is poised to hire Wachtell Lipton Rosen & Katz partner Joshua Feltman, who has handled major liability management transactions, according to a person familiar with the discussions.

Feltman has been chair of the restructuring and finance department at Wachtell, the most profitable firm in the country, and handled major restructuring and refinancing transactions, including those for AMC Entertainment Holdings Inc. and Lumen Technologies.

For Kirkland, Feltman’s hire will fill a hole left by the departure of partner Dave Nemecek, who joined Simpson Thacher & Bartlett last month and has since brought more partners from Kirkland with him. ...
